Based on an Epic story by the 10th century Persian poet, Ferdowsi’s “ Shah-nameh” - the Book of Kings; the ballet of “ Zal and Rudabeh “ inspired by the skills of vibrant Persian story telling, NAQQALI, showcases this historical fable, weaved with live percussion, singing & poetry recitation, in both Persian and English languages.
