the recognition of the "genocide" through the absolutory term of "massacre", undoubtedly means to favor the entry into Europe of Turkey, but, even more importantly, we forget that the Armenian "genocide" is much more serious, not recognized as such, rather than the current political fact of Turkey's refusal to return to Europe.
SUCH AS?
By modifying the word "GENOCIDE" with the term "MASSACRE", as has always been proposed by all Turkish governments, it means to mystify historical reality in an attempt to physically and culturally eliminate the Armenian People, reducing the tragedy to the "simple" definition of the death of Armenians, even if all Turkish citizens.

The Armenian Genocide is the first crime against humanity in modern times, and it is a tragic, unique historical fact in its genesis, which has never ceased to be operative, even today in the subtle and hidden action operating through the so-called "genocides" silent "and" white genocides ".

Every Armenian family undoubtedly knows this drama. From what my mother told me 4 years ago, before we died, we only had in our family as many as 22 dead, from illness, fatigue and mistreatment during the exterminated journeys through Iranian Azerbaijan, to which they were obliged for the sole purpose of being eliminated from the Ottoman soldiers crossing the river of the Iranian border (the Arax) attacking the neighboring towns and villages.
I do not want to refer to this just to remember a family event that happened a century ago, but more generally, once again, the tragedy of the Armenian genocide.

- Brief biographical introduction of the undersigned:
I have always acted for my political conviction, thanks to the parties of which I was a member and active member, having also received recognition from the Armenian Parliament on 21.08.2001 signed by Khosrow Hatoutyan, from the Armenian Embassy from 2000 to December 9, 2003, as well as from the Union of Armenians of Italy, signed by President Agopik Manoukian in 1997, for the numerous initiatives undertaken (see the link below N. 1)
Among other initiatives that I have done, to which I hold more because it avoids the forced conversion of the Armenians to adhere to other religions (white genocide), thanks to the active support and interest of the Iranian Embassy to the Holy See, with various meetings between the Armenian community, Cardinal Kasper, Cardinal Sandri and Aram I (catholicos of the Armenians) was the possibility of the opening of the Armenian apostolic church of San Biagio della Pagnotta in Via Giulia 62 in Rome.

With important interventions, recorded and transcribed in 2000 at Palazzo Valentini, during the Round Table on the Theme: "XX century: Genocide and Genocide", among others, Minister Giuliano Vassalli, Tullia Zevi, Giancarlo Pagliarini, and Misha Wegner ( my university mate since 1964) and in favor of Turkish reasons, from the public, churches and got the word the lawyer. Augusto Sinagra, then Honorary Consul for Turkish Affairs. In this speech, the lawyer Sinagra reiterated the historical-political thesis, always supported by all the Turkish governments, that the "Massacre" could not in any way be considered a "genocide", since the events occurred in 1915, had to be evaluated in the necessarily wider context and bloody of a terrible war context in place at that time.
With greater precision, all those present who spoke at the first Genocide Conference held in Parlament (Sala della Sacrestia) in 1996 and the subsequent one in 2000 in Rome in the halls of Palazzo Valentini, can be found in the list of links attached to present (transcriptions and recording by Radical Radio and the New Frontier Magazine).
THEREFORE:

The term "genocide" is more corresponding to the historical reality than that of "massacre" which is anyway limiting the Ottoman government's horrible crime against humanity at the beginning of the last century.

All this, if today was approved in these terms, would defeat the work of many associations including, mainly, the constant initiatives and requests promoted by the "ZATIK" Association for the Italo-Armenian friendship, founded in 1996, which after 22 years of consultations, negotiations and with the active contribution of all the other Armenian and Italian components, however interested and in solidarity, led to the recognition of the "GENOCIDE" of the Armenian People by the Parliament of the Italian Republic.

The memorable and historical event took place in the institutional headquarters of the Sala della Sacrestia of the Italian Parliament, thanks to the support of Ambassador Armeno Gaghik Baghdassarian, with the presence of Vahagen Norair Dadrian, one of the greatest scholars of the NY Museum, in the presence of numerous Italian Parliamentarians of all political groups, Armenian academic speakers from Milan and Venice and as better indicated in the link of the conference proceedings to the Parliament of the Republic. The eternal gratitude of the Armenian people and their historical and cultural traditions goes to all those present above.

Based on the analysis of specific facts, it appears that the Turkish strategy tends to influence the soft Italian political terrain, always sensitive to economic and commercial relations, as it appears from the following behaviors, listed below.

- Our Association, since 2000, has submitted to various Italian Regions motions for the recognition of the Armenian Genocide, which to date have not had any feedback; will there be a political reason?

On the occasion of the Centenary of the Armenian Genocide, Pope Francis wanted to gather all accredited diplomats to the Vatican on April 13, 2015 to attend the memorial service. On this occasion the Italian diplomatic and governmental presence was noted. Following this initiative by Pope Francis, the excessive, and at times injurious, reaction by the Turkish government to the Vatican initiative was noted and condemned by the international press.

In summary, here are some political deliberations of the Italian Parliament, which the Turkish government considers less than "paper" waste.

Italian lobbying policy, until now, has granted too many political and lobbying signals to Turkish governments. If there was an attempt by the Senate to pass a motion in favor of the recognition of the term "genocide", so dear to world opinion, one would risk mutilating, passing from the word "genocide" to "massacre".
Therefore we can not reduce ourselves only and continually to require the recognition of the term GENOCIDIO as a repetitive ritual, thin then of contents, but proceed firmly as France and Prof. Paolo Ungari tells us in his speech in 1996 (see transcriptions through the indicated link ).

- Not approval of the motion of the Recognition of the Genocide. The 3-4-2000 with n. 707 by unanimous vote, but not to the Senate of the Republic and the dictates imposed by the motion have not been implemented, for example the teaching of all genocides in school texts, from 1915 to today.

- Not to have discussed the motion submitted twice to the Regional Councils, with negative results, including that submitted to the Lazio Region.
The most complete motion, studied with various Armenian personalities and associations, as well as the Union of the Armenians of Italy, has never been taken into consideration, nor has it ever had any political outcome.

WHAT TO DO?
Some proposals:

a- To bring the recognition of genocide on different and concrete arguments, as France did, declaring the punishment of the denial of genocide by a legislative decree.
At the Conference in the Hall of the Sacristy of Parliament, Prof. Paolo Ungari, as President of Human Rights At the Presidency of the Council, proposed "The genocide of the Armenians and the search for an international criminal justice".

b - Think of the case and conditions of practical life and enjoyment of the political rights in Turkey of the 2.5 million Crypto-Armenians, descendants of the Armenians who survived the 1915 massacre, forcibly converted to the Islamic faith, to be "contaminated" culturally and assimilated to the Turkish and Turkic ethnic groups;

Nota Bene:
Our Friend Prof.ssa Fatemeh Sara Gaboardi in the month of October of the current year, has published her voluminous book of over 400 pages on the Cripto-Armeni, the result of years of study on the places of the massacre and interviews with "citizens" "Turkish Cripto-Armeni, whom I personally met in the Italian Senate, being present in large numbers during the conference and the presentation of the book on Ocalan on March 8, 2017.
The phenomenon of white or silent genocide and the Cripto-Armenians is a dynamic topic, alive, of a continuous current that deserves an active attention.
