New tear in the relations between Switzerland and Turkey. Ankara offended itself of an investigation opened by a prosecutor of Winterthur against a Turkish historian of renown for negation of the Armenian genocide. The Turkish minister of the foreign affairs Abdullah Gül condemned the investigation of swiss justice in opposition to the historian Yusuf Halacoglu. Contacted by ATS, the Switzerland embassy to Ankara confirmed a «preliminary investigation» opened to Winterthur. She specified that the procedure was launched following a penal complaint against MR. Halacoglu. Quoted Monday by the newspaper «Hürriyet», MR. Gül considered that swiss authorities committed a «serious error». © ATS
