Shahan Natalie: The Indomitable Ideologue

An overview of the life and work of Shahan Natalie (1884-1983), internationally known Armenian thinker, writer, orator, and activist, will be given by his
daughter, Sylva Natalie Manoogian, as a tribute to him on the 125th anniversary of his birth.

Over a period of more than six decades, Shahan Natalie wrote, published numerous Armenian language newspapers and books, and traveled to his homeland and Armenian communities throughout the Diaspora. Natalie's literary legacy embodies his love, devotion, and pride in the Armenian culture, language and literature, as well as his admiration and respect for the languages and literatures of the world.

Sylva Natalie Manoogian is a doctoral student of Information Studies (UCLA GSE&IS), and consultant to libraries serving Armenian communities worldwide.
