Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan has meetings in Italy;

During her working visit to Italy, RA Minister of DiasporaHranush Hakobyan had a meeting with Pope of Rome Benedictus XVI.
On this occasion, Hranush Hakobyan, accompanied by RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Italy Ruben Karapetyan and President of “Pyunik” Foundation, Mr. Jambarjian, visited the Levonyan School in Rome where the school’s administration had prepared a “table of love” for the distinguished guest. The event was attended by representatives of the council of the Armenian community in Rome, the staff of the Armenian programs department of Radio Vatican, as well as clergymen and students of the school.
The RA Minister of Diaspora was greeted with welcoming remarks by Director of the School, Father, Supreme Archimandrite Gevorg Noradungian and Supreme Archimandrite from Montreal, Kevork Yeghiaian

In Italy the RA Minister of Diaspora also had meetings with political figures and other officials and attended several events.

This evening, Hranush Hakobyan will take part in a concert organized by the RA Embassy in Italy at the Large Hall of the Tartini Music School of Trieste. The concert will feature performances by pianist Ani Martirosian and the Tsakhkazard Choir. On February 11, the Minister will participate in a meeting with foreign lecturers devoted to the Armenian Genocide Centennial.

According to the RA Minister of Diaspora, several Armenian businessmen are also in Italy to meet with businessmen of Trieste and try to work on joint projects.
