To: Gibrahayer e-magazine
About: Dr. Antranik Ashdjian's Candidacy,
I have known the doctor for all my life, and as the last issue of "Gibrahayer" details his professional life in the Armenian Community in Cyprus and abroad, I can only add my "two words" to it by saying he is a very capable member who works his hardest to better our community's well being. Providing assistance to anyone who needs it, he has helped many a people including me during the time I’ve known him.
If there is someone in our community deserving of this position, I couldn't have thought of anyone else but Dr. Ashdjian. With his dedication and hard work, he can preside over this position with full confidence of having the Armenian Community of Cyprus at his back supporting him every step of the way.
Best Wishes,
Kerry Nadjarian - Nicosia

CRAG Letter to Michael Portillo - 15 September 2005
Dear Mr Michael Portillo :
We refer to your article in the Sunday Times of 4 September 2005 with regard to Turkey's application to accede to the EU.
Much as Turkey has undertaken a positive initial number of judicial and socio-economic steps towards the reformist expectations of the European Union, and although we do not hold a non-negotiable stand against eventual Turkish accession, we believe that the outcome is still far from reassuring or certain - particularly when the stakes are so high for the whole of the European project. In fact, the scare tactics and ultimatum-led scenarios that are put forward by some Turkish politicians show that the case for accession is so weak that Turkey is attempting to browbeat those with genuine fears in order to impact the process of negotiation let alone ultimate decision.

Dear Simon,
After returning from my homeland with uplifted spirit and so happy being in Cyprus after such a long time (15 years) and seeing everyone grown and
some not recognizing them,it was the best thing for me.At the Ghanasor-e arshavank when I saw u with your family and so many classmates I was taking
picture left and right and u said to me u did not have your camera and i promised to send you some pictures.Sorry it took me such a long time to do
this for the reason that is so obvious to all.It was such a tragedy after we returned to Canada and to hear a week later about Hagop and Hilda and the
families tragic death. It really took so much out off me that it was very difficult to think about our good times.
Now that slowly life is getting back to normal I wanted to be good to my word and send u some of the pictures.

Dear Gibrahayer,
I was born in Cyprus too. When we emigrated to Armenia I was twelve years old. That was in1963, now I leave in Los Angeles, with my husband. We have three children, they are all married and have children of their own. All together we have six grandchildren.Today I was checking the newsletter of Gibrahayer and I saw a letter which was from my cousin Sosy Ohanian, from Canada and I wanted to answer her. We are second cousins.
