29 Magg. 2013_ Charles, Prince of Wales has arrived in Yerevan, Armenia

During his visit Prince Charles is to hold meetings with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II.

He is the first member of the British royal family to visit Armenia, Azatutyun Radio reports.
Prince Charles has visited the Institute of Ancient Manuscripts Matenadaran in Yerevan.
Armenian environmental activists gathered in front of the Matenadaran to draw the high guest’s attention to Armenia’s environmental problems. The activists call for preventing the development of the Amulsar goldmine in Vaiots Dzor, Armenia. The Lydian International Company is expected to invest in the project.

The activists say that Armenia’s ex-premier Armen Sargsyan is a Board member of the company, who invited Prince Charles to Armenia.

Soon the activists realized that Prince Charles arrived at the back entrance and some of them approached there.

During his visit Prince Charles is to hold meetings with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II.

Prince Charles is also to attend a concert at the Yerevan Opera on the occasion of the Yerevan My Love charity program.
