World Premiere for the Armenian Diaspora

A VIRTUAL MEMORIAL IN HOMAGE TO THE ARMENIAN VICTIMS of OTTOMAN EMPIRE
(1915), and to reconstitute the families separated by exodus.
Published this week by the Switzerland-Armenia Association, and createdby Jean ECKIAN (1), this new website <www.InHomage.com> is dedicated tothe victims of the Armenian Genocide perpetrated in 1915 by the Ottoman Empire.

This is the first time that a website of this type has been published. Amap of Asia Minor, which can be found on the homepage, which is dated1920 (Treaty of Sevres), shows the Armenia whose contours were outlinedin 1918 by US President Woodrow WILSON. The idea is to allow Diaspora
Armenians (over 6.1 million & 3.2 million in Armenia) to locate thebirthplace of ancestors who disappeared during the Genocide, and toenter their names in a database. A second interactive operation allowspeople to view the names that have been entered, region by region, and make contact with a family from the same place but now living on theother side of the world; a promise for the family to eventually be reunited.

<www.InHomage.com> is enriched by quotes and personal experiences fromhistorical figures, a list of countries and towns that have acknowledgedthe Armenian Genocide, extracts from the Treaty of Sevres (1920) andnumerous useful links, classified by subject matter.

After opening negotiations of the Turkey with European Union, october 3, this website invites each Armenian to testify in front the international community, that the Genocide of 1915 to be expressed by the Name ofHuman Beings, and that their descendants claim JUSTICE !

September 15, 2005, House International Relations Committeeoverwhelmingly adopts Armenian Genocide legislation
