'Spirit in Mardin' Sets a Good Example for the World

Arinc, after touring the exhibition in detail pointed at Mardin setting a good example in culture, science, civilization, art, and people living together in harmony. “This picture sets a good example to the world. The world should come together in the model of Mardin,” he told.

The Yedikardes’ exhibition opened at the assembly’s hall of fame was also attended by Nihat Eli, Justice and Development Party Mardin deputy, Mardin Governor Temel Kocaklar, and Mardin Mayor Metin Pamukcu.

Arinc said Yedikardes has made a contribution to art and culture, noting that he plans to carry the exhibition catalogue to the countries that he visits; he also confirmed that he would be extremely pleased to see the artist’s works at the United Nations center in New York, as well as in the capital, Washington.

”Mardin is one of the cultural centers of the world. It has always been one of the best examples of culture, science, civilization, and living together in harmony. We have to maintain our values. We should introduce Mardin to the rest of the world.”

“Mardin is a future project,” Erli said, “The city of Mardin is a place dominated by tolerance, respect, unity and people respect for other people, their temples and even their style of clothing. Turkey and the whole world need this spirit”.

The first visitors to the exhibition were Indonesian guests visiting Arinc.
