Turkish ambassador pushes, Armenian ambassador fleesAttending the genocide discussion on the Italian TV, Armenian ambassador left the questions unanswered. Big meeting was on RAI. On one side, our Turkish Ambassador To Rome, Uður Ziyal and on the other side, Armenian ambassador Shugarian. Facing his Armenian colleague on the programme called "History" of the Italian state television Rai Uno, Turkish Ambassador to Rome, Uður Ziyal discussed the "genocide" issue for the first time. But since the producers told Turkish party that "genocide theses would be discussed" and Armenian party that "the dimension of bilateral relations would be discussed", the programme format has changed a little. Although both parties were requested to bring a historian, only the Turkish party fulfilled that condition. Armenian Ambassador attended the programme on his own. "Do you recognize the borders of Turkey?" asked the Turkish Ambassador Ziyal to the Armenian Ambassador to Rome, Rouben Shugarian. But he did not reply. Commission offer refusedSaying that "they wanted to have good relations with Turkey and that they were ready to open the borders", Shugarian was asked questions by Ziyal two times during the live show and one last time at the end of the programme: "Do you recognize Turkey's borders determined by international agreements? Can you say that you claim nothing from Turkey?". But he could not answer those and repeated at the corridors of the studio: "I can not answer that".
