BUILDERS OF BAKU-GEIHAN REFUSE TO RECOVER DAMAGE TO ARMENIAN VILLAGEL ragir.am14 June 06AKHALKALAKI, JUNE 13, A-INFO. SPI-Capag-Petrofac carrying out theconstruction of of the section of Baku-Geihan running through Georgiadamaged the soil of the village of Ghado, Akhalkalaki using sandnecessary for the construction of the oil pipeline, and refuses torecover the damage.The building company says the land they used belongs to the state andthey had a special license of the Ministry of Environmental Protectionto use it.The inhabitants of the village of Ghado say the sand used inconstruction was extracted from the territory they own, and they have acorresponding certificate on public ownership. Besides, the inhabitantsof Ghado say when the soil of the Georgian villages was used for thesame purpose, the damages were recovered at full.Presently the inhabitants of Ghado rely on the justice of Georgianlaw-enforcement agencies. Their claim was lodged with the Office of HeadPublic Prosecutions of Georgia.
