06 08 23 - KING ABDULLAH II PAYS TRIBUTE TO MEMORY OF SHEHIDS

King of Jordan, His Majesty Abdullah II today began his official trip to Azerbaijan with visiting the Alley of Martyrs in Baku. The King and his delegation were accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov, Mayor of Baku Hajibala Abutalybov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Elman Arasly and other officials.

King Abdullah II laid a wreath at the memorial Eternal Fire, and said prayer for the peace of the shehids’ souls.

Mayor of Baku Hajibala Abutalybov informed the distinguished guest about history of the Alley, as well as improvement works being carried out in the capital.

The King said Baku has witnessed significant improvements since he had been here in 1997.
