06 09 22 - Charles Aznavour to Open Year of Armenia in France

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ September 30 in the Republic Square of Yerevan famous singer Charles Aznavour and some other French singers will five a concert that will mark the opening of the Year of Armenia in France. The names of the French guests are not announced yet. The price of seats will make 40-120 thousand drams, however anyone can watch the concert in the open air, reported National Year nonprofit organization.

To note, French President Jacques Chirac is also expected to attend the opening ceremony of the Year of Armenia in France. A potpourri of popular French songs composed by Stepan Shakaryan will performed on the occasion of the French President’s arrival<BR>

Year of Armenia in France Declared Open in French Provinces <BR>
/PanARMENIAN.Net/ After a press conference in the French MFA, where the program of the Year of Armenia in France was presented, the Year was declared open in some French provinces. To note, the program includes some 500 events in 125 towns. September 18 Armenian Ambassador to France Edvard Nalbandyan and Saint Etienne Mayor Michel Thiollière gave a press conference for several hundreds of reporters, deputies, community heads, politicians and representatives of the Armenian community. The program of events was announced. Within the next several days the Year of Armenia will start in other French provinces, reported the RA MFA press office
