His announcement has found repercussion in the medias of the European Union countries. Le Monde Newspaper wrote that Finland has given an ultimatum to Turkey. Le Monde wrote: "Brussels has given ultimatum to Turkey. Finland still has a small hope that there can be positive developments about the "ports crisis" issue in Euromed meeting which will be held in Tampere on November 27." Stating that many European experts are not seeing much light in Finland's plan, Le Monde said in case the plan fails there is a principal agreement between the EU countries for applying sanctions against Turkey. A diplomatic source told: "All countries are in agreement for the principles. We have to be clear and persuasive and the decision must be reversible. As soon as Turkey meets the requirements we have to be able to sit back on the negotiations table as soon as possible."
