In Turchia, per decisione del Ministero dell'Istruzione, è stato distribuito alle scuole un DVD -"Sari Gelin"- che racconta le "crudeltà subite dai turchi per mano degli armeni"....
Il DVD è indirizzato ai bambini da 6 a 14 anni.
43 rappresentanti della comunità armena hanno inviato una nota di protesta al Primo Ministro Erdogan.
Apprendiamo che molti intellettuali turchi come Ahmet Altan hanno condannato questa vile iniziativa del loro governo che tende a seminare odio insieme alla falsità storica....

Hatred for Armenians propagated in Turkish schools
/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Constantinople Patriarchate of the Armenian Apostolic Church summoned a conference to discuss the recent decision of the Turkish Ministry of Education decreed to screen Sari Galin documentary on ‘murders of Turks by Armenians’ for Turkish schoolchildren.

The documentary is a Turkish view on the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire. With lots of violence shots, it aims to propagate hatred for Armenians.

43 representatives of the Armenian community of Istanbul have already sent a note to Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan, Normarmara weekly reports.


“SMALL THEATRE”participates in "Golden Mask"
“Small Theatre” from Armenia will participate in “Golden Mask” National Theatre award ceremony and festival, Gayane Durgaryan, the head of information and public relations department told to Panorama.am. She said that the festival will take place in Moscow and performances from Russia, CIS and Baltic countries will attend the festival. “Small Theatre” will present “Theatre of Ofelia’s Shadows” performance by M. Ende.
The festival will take place from 27 March to 17 April. “Theatre of Ofelia’s Shadows” play will be performed on 3-4 April.

Inga and Anush Arshakian to represent Armenia in "Eurovision 2009" International Song Contest
Inga and Anush Arshakians will with "New dance" song represent Armenia in the "Eurovision 2009" international song contest. Their participation has been decided during the February 14 concert through the SMS voting of the audiences and the jury, Armenpress reported.
21 singers presented their songs during the concert from which Mher took the second place and "Dorians" and "Bambir" rock groups – correspondingly the third and fourth places, then come Shprot, Tigran Petrosian and Hripsime Hakobian.
Iren, Hasmik Margarian, "The Beautified Project" group, Martha Bulbulian, the Oxigen, Artem Avunts, Hayk Kasparov, Arman Harutyunian, Guzh, Lilu, Davit Minasian, Davo and Sergey Grigorian also took part.

February 19 announced Book Gifting Day
/PanARMENIAN.Net/ February 19, the birthday of outstanding Armenian writer and poet Hovhannes Tumanyan was announced Book Gifting Day in Armenia.

The purpose of the initiative is to raise interest of schoolchildren and students in literature.

Zangak 97 printing house has donated 2000 books for conduction of the event. The Union of Writers of Armenia will also donate some 2000 books to Armenian libraries. 500 books will be gifted to Yerevan State University.

The action was organized with the assistance of RA Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Science and Education, Yerevan city administration, Hovhannes Tumanyan Museum, National Library of Armenia, Yerevan State University and a number of NGOs and schools.

ARMENIAN WRESTLERS WON BRONZE MEDALS
The Greco-Roman wrestling team championship of the world cup is over in France. In the finals Russian team defeated the French by 5:2 points and won world cup. Remind: The Russian sportsmen defeated Azerbaijani team (6:1), Hungary (7:0) and Armenia (5:2).
Armenian wrestlers defeated Cuba team and occupied the third horizontal and were awarded bronze medals.
