The holiday is celebrated outdoors. In ancient times on this day the young ladies were allowed to walk freely in the fields, sing songs, and make acquaintances, which often became crucial in their lives .(Jan Gulum tradition – a draw to forecast the future for young girls).

One of the most important moments of Ascension Day is the night between Wednesday to Thursday; the night of miracles. At midnight exactly, nature finds the gift of speech, the water is still for a second; the sky and the earth embrace….

and the one who witnesses this magic moments will have his or her dreams fulfilled!
